The DWI Group was founded in Hamburg in 1991 and is primarily dedicated to the development of commercial real estate. In 2014, the portfolio was expanded to include the development of top-quality student apartments under the STUART Student Apartments brand.
Activities include the acquisition of land or existing properties, the planning and implementation of new projects, the revitalization of existing buildings, including their rental, and sale of completed properties to private and public investors.
Significant activities in Hamburg have included the "Alte Oberpostdirektion" at Stephansplatz, the "S-KAI" in Hafencity, the "Astraturm" in St. Pauli and the "elbberg campus @ltona" project. The latter is located near the award-winning office building "Lofthaus am Elbberg", which was also developed by the DWI Group. One of the most prominent developments in Frankfurt has been the Asset Management Center of DWS (Deutsche Bank Group).
Among the most successful recent projects have been the "bahn_hoefe" in Hamburg-Ottensen and the "Work Life Center" on Gorch-Fock-Wall in central Hamburg, where the DWI group have established their headquarters.
A further office has been opened in Berlin where The "Spreeturm" at Ostbahnhof and the office tower "Weidt Park Corner" near the main station are currently under construction
